Program Times: 8:00-8:30-Breakfast
8:30-11:45-Class
11:45-12:15 Lunch
12:15-3:30-Enrichment Activities
Teachers Work: AM or Full-day Duty Begins at 8:00 AM
AM duty ends at 12:30 PM
PM Duty begins at 11:30
PM or Full-day duty ends at 4:00

The following hiring procedures for summer school and camp employment will pertain only to the following program:
SUMMER LITERACY AND MATHEMATICS (SLAM) TEACHING POSITIONS
Courses that are eventually chosen for summer school are dependent upon student enrollment.
HIRING PROCEDURES
- Applications are to be submitted on-line by March 19, 2021.
- Hiring of elementary staff will first involve the attempt to provide a full schedule for teachers. To assist us in this endeavor, candidates must identify all of the courses they feel qualified to teach.
- Interviews for elementary positions will be conducted as needed. Further information will be provided at a later date regarding the time and place of interviews.
- Salary: Summer school teachers on contract with Millard Public Schools will be paid $34.00 per hour for teaching and planning time. Summer school teachers who are not on contract with Millard Public Schools will be paid at the hourly rate of $23.22 for teaching and planning time.
- Planning time will be paid at the rate of one hour for every five hours of teaching.
- Every attempt will be made to ensure notification of teaching and staff assignments by May 12, 2021. Please note that adjustments may be made after this date to accommodate enrollment.
Teaching assignments will be made by the Summer Literacy & Math (SLAM) Administrator.
*Due to the length of the SLAM Program, job-sharing or alternative scheduling will be considered.
