Monday – Friday, No school June 19, July 4 or 5
Time: Morning Classes 7:45AM-10:50 AM
Afternoon Classes 11:25 AM-2:30 PM
Teachers
Work: 15 minutes prior to their first course and 15 minutes after their last course.
HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER TEACHING POSITIONS
Courses that are eventually chosen for summer school are dependent upon student enrollment.
HIRING PROCEDURES
- Applications are to be submitted on-line by March 17, 2024.
- Interviews for the summer school program will be conducted on an individual basis or as needed.
- Salary: Summer school teachers holding a valid teaching certificate will be paid $34.00 per hour for teaching and planning time. Summer school teachers who hold a substitute teaching certificate will be paid at the hourly rate of $23.57 for teaching and planning time.
- Planning time will be paid at the rate of one hour for every five hours of teaching.
- For courses that have two semesters (A and B) at opposite times, teachers may apply for one or both semesters.
- Every attempt will be made to ensure notification of teaching and staff assignments by May 10, 2024. Please note that adjustments may be made after this date to accommodate enrollment.
Teaching assignments will be made by the Summer School Administrator.

If you are employed for summer school, and planning to retire at the end of the 2023-2024 school year, Millard will report your last day worked at the conclusion of your summer school assignment in June or July (depending on sessions worked). This means your earliest retirement date is July (if you finish working in June) or August (if you finish working in July).
